Please find attached a letter from TMET’s CEO, outlining further reassurance and practical steps following the government’s announcement that schools might be in a position to reopen to a wider group of children. Abbey are working closely with the Trust to consider necessary steps in order to achieve this whilst ensuring that the safety of pupils and staff is our priority. Whilst these uncertain and challenging times continue, we hope that the forecasted improvements in weather over the coming days will lift spirits. Our draft curriculum map, clarifies how knowledge will be taught across our school in each year group. It is designed to provide children with age appropriate knowledge so that they can form an understanding of families, caring and respectful relationships, online relationships and awareness of how to keep themselves safe as set out in the statutory curriculum expectations. We are now an academy as part of TMET. This means being part of a multi-academy trust currently comprising: six Leicester primary schools: Willowbrook Primary Academy, Thurnby Lodge Primary Academy, Northfield House Primary Academy, Knighton Fields Primary Academy, Kestrel Fields Primary Academy and Rowlatts Hill Primary Academy; two Leicester secondary schools: Rushey Mead Academy and Hamilton Academy; and a new Leicester secondary school due to open in September 2019: Castle Mead Academy.
