In the event of a necessary class closure, we will follow a set of steps to ensure that all relevant information is shared appropriately.
Parents will receive a text message using the numbers registered on SIMs for your child. Where appropriate, parents will then receive a phone call to ensure that the message has been received. In these circumstances, bilingual staff will call home to ensure that messages around self-isolation periods is made clear.
Parents will also receive a letter sent to them through our WEDUC school communications app. This letter will share further information about the class closure, the length of the closure and signpost parents to sources of support. If a closure is necessary when children are in school, the children will bring home a copy of this letter too.
All other parents will also be informed of class closures via WEDUC and our school website.
Free School Meals
For all pupils eligible for Free School Meals, the office will contact you to arrange an appropriate time for you to collect a food hamper from the school. The food hampers are created by our onsite kitchen and take account of the dietary requirements of our pupils.
